My counseling experience spans 15 years; but real life– and my fair share of mishaps–have equally added to my ability to establish meaningful connections and help people through difficult times. I received my master’s in social work from the University of Texas, Arlington, and my Ph.D. at the University of Houston, where my research focused on healthy relationships.
After graduating from college with a degree in Business Management, and teaching English in Buenos Aires, Argentina – I worked as a Mental Health Specialist for one of the largest behavioral health providers in Memphis, TN. After completing my master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Texas, Arlington, I worked in a number of settings that supported the mental health adults.
I am the host of Untherapeutic, a relationship podcast for people who don’t go to therapy and have have been featured in People Magazine, Huff Post, Cosmopolitan, Forbes Health, Newsweek, Brides Magazine and more. I was also recognized by BlackLove as one of 10 therapists online you should follow, and frequent contributor on Fox 26 News.
I provide individual and couples counseling and offer training on mental health and relationships.I work with people from all walks of life but have the most experience supporting those who have experienced anxiety, depression, perfectionism, divorce, relationship struggles, and uncertainty.
